Attention QuickBooks Point of Sale FFL Customers
QuickBooks made two big announcements recently, both of which mean trouble for businesses who sell firearms and use QuickBooks Point of Sale.
First, QuickBooks announced it will end support for its Desktop POS in October 2023. Second, QuickBooks announced its partnership with Shopify.
QuickBooks parent company, Intuit, is recommending its users transition from QuickBook POS to Shopify. But here's the catch for FFLs . . . Shopify is not 2A friendly, leaving many users in a lurch. Shopify clearly outlines its restrictions of the sale of firearms and related accessories on their platforms in its Acceptable Use Policy.
